Through stretch packaging, it ensuring that there will be less damage by good covering. Whether your favorite packing material will work. It’s more likely that hand wrapping used packing material won’t work as well on a machine. You’ve got to consider the what is the best one for your package in stretch film paper, bubble film... Talk with your team or your customer find one the best for load protection.
How tight to wrap the package. The head, middle and tail layers of your package all need to have the correct amount of containment force, which is the wrap force multiplied by the number of packing material layers. The right amount of containment force depends on the type of load you’re wrapping. Is it heavy, light or unstable? More containment force for heavy load and lighter loads may require less.
What is the wrap pattern should be. This depends on your settings. You need to choose how many layer packing required, what kind of packing material combination, such as bubble film+stretch film, HDPE film+stretch film... You must also decide the wrap force setting and how much overwrapping you want applied on the top of the pallet.
Don’t buy “cheap” film. Low quality has higher risk for flaws (gels, nicks, tears). “Cheap” film may be less resistant to tear and doesn’t have the ability to stretch as far as performance films. Setting the wrap force depends on different package size. Upon your film and product, play around with the tension of the film to determine the best setting. Make sure the machine you buy will get the job done. Don’t guess, test. Get help if you’re not sure.
This leads us into next point: machines are cheap, people are expensive. Keep in mind, the capital cost of a machine is fixed at the time of purchase and will ultimately convert into an operating expense.
Choosing the more optional functions to make the machine with higher automatic level and save manual work.
One reason you may be investing in a obital stretch wrapper is to reduce workplace accidents and back injuries.
